OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Gentner Drummond is reminding law enforcement agencies across the state that the deadline to submit nominations for the 2025 Officer of the Year Awards is Monday, June 30.

Only law enforcement agencies are eligible to submit official nominations, but Drummond encourages members of the public to reach out to their local agencies if there are officers they want to recommend for consideration.

“Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities, and it’s important we recognize those who go above and beyond the call of duty,” said Drummond. “I encourage Oklahomans to contact their area agencies about officers they believe deserve recognition for their exceptional service and dedication to keeping our state safe.”

Nominations can include law enforcement from college, university, municipal, county, state, tribal and federal agencies for officers who have performed admirably in the line of duty within the past 18 months.

Supervisors can nominate deserving officers by visiting the Officer of the Year webpage.
