BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (KTUL) —
Broken Arrow has again earned national recognition, ranking among the Best Medium-Sized Cities in the United States in U.S. News & World Report’s latest poll, following last year’s designation as one of the Best Cities to Live in the country.
In 2025, the city ranked as the Best Place to Live in Oklahoma, the 12th Best City to Live in the U.S., and the 55th Best Place to Retire in the nation.
The rankings were based on employment rates, home values, population, and commute times.
In U.S. News & World’s latest poll, Broken Arrow ranks as the 6th Best Medium-Sized city in the United States.
Broken Arrow is the only Oklahoma city to make the list and is joined by cities such as Woodlands, Texas, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Carmel, Indiana.

The City of Broken Arrow said the rankings are evaluated using data from Applied Geographic Solutions, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Department of Commerce, the Federal Reserve, and the Bureau of Economic Analysis, as well as state and local sources.
The report also said that 27% of Broken Arrow’s population is under 20. Thirteen percent are ages 25-34, 14% are 35-44, and 23% are 45-65. The report estimates that 17% of Broken Arrow’s population is over 65.
