Art Center of Tonkawa Award Art Scholarship to NOC Students

The Art Center of Tonkawa began awarding an art scholarship in October 2024 to help provide Northern Oklahoma College Visual Art students an opportunity to pursue their goals in the Fine Arts Field.
Students are selected for this award based on professionalism, initiative, and prospective goals in the Fine Arts Field.
The 2024-2025 recipients Ariel Calvert from Hominy, Oklahoma, and Delaney Fox from Wichita, Kansas. Each received a $250 scholarship.
The 2023-24 recipient was Leslee Richardson from Perry, Oklahoma.
According to the Art Center of Tonkawa by-laws, “The Art Center of Tonkawa is organized for the purpose of providing education and nurturing artistic growth by fostering the creative arts and cultural assets of the area.”
The Art Center of Tonkawa is a non-profit organization.
Current board members are Audrey Schmitz, Kevin Ditmore, Shayla Jauregui, Annette Hunt, Terry Waggoner, Terry Thompson, Jay Heinrich, Glenn Cope, Ken Smith and Dianne Smith.
