Little Axe High School football team loses uniforms in fire

LITTLE AXE, Okla. (AP) – A high school football team in the community of Little Axe has lost all of its uniforms and much of its equipment after a field house caught fire.

KOCO-TV reports that the fire was reported at 8 p.m. Monday, and Norman firefighters responded. Little Axe is located about 20 miles east of Norman.

The high school said the locker room area and all of its contents were destroyed by smoke and fire. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
