Liberty Elementary Earth Day Clean Up

Ponca City Public Schools - April 26, 2022 12:49 pm

After fifth graders in Megan Brown’s class at Liberty Elementary finished state testing last Thursday, they decided to take a walk around the school.
On their walk they noticed some trash littering the “Pirate Park” next door to the school.
“One of my students recommended that we could celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by picking up the trash … so that’s exactly what we did,” said Brown.
“We finished our state writing test and went to clean up the Earth in our neck of the woods.”
“I’m continually impressed by their awareness and kindness.”
Here’s a message from our friends in 5B: “Celebrate Earth Day every day, by helping take care of our great planet!”
