Leaming named one of Journal Record’s 40 Achievers Under 40

Adam Leaming, CEO of University Center Ponca City, was chosen as one of the Journal Record’s 40 Achievers Under 40 for 2015.

Members of the 2015 Class of Achievers Under 40 were honored for their professional and community achievements at a luncheon at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel.

The Meinders School of Business at OCU provided each honoree with a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.

In his profile, Leaming describes himself as a recovering introvert. Growing up in a small, rural town of Newkirk, Leaming said he was content to stay behind the scenes and not engage with others. That all changed when he decided he wanted to become a teacher.

He was supported at the luncheon by members of Leadership Oklahoma and friends and colleagues from Ponca City.
