Last Day to Sign-up For Free Tax Service at the United Way is Wednesday April 13

Barbara Nickles, VITA site coordinator will prepare taxes for low-income families at the United Way of Ponca City.
With the help of community volunteers, families who make a household income of less than $58,000 can access the VITA site and have their taxes prepared for FREE.
Current CDC guidelines will be in place. Wear a FRESH mask each time you visit this office, we ask that you NOT wear bandanas, scarves, etc; your temperature will be taken.
Arrive on time and bring:
• Drivers License/State ID of Taxpayer & Spouse – must be available each time you have contact with the VITA tax preparer.
• Social Security Cards and date of birth – of taxpayer/spouse & dependents that will be claimed on tax return. Taxes will not be prepared if ALL social security cards are not present. No exceptions.
• Bring last year’s tax return – even if this site has prepared your return in the past. This will be important for your EIP status as well as EITC entry.
Any relevant income documents such as:
W-2 – from your employer or 1099NEC when you do not work AS an employee
If self-employed, have all receipts available and added up. If you had a loss, we are not allowed to prepare your tax return.
1099 R – A retirement document
Social Security Statement – 1099 SSA
1099 – INT – Bank interest and/or Broker Statements
1099 – DIV – Investment dividend
1098 – T – Tuition & Scholarship Statement
1099G – Unemployment Statement or State Tax Refund
Letters from IRS as recipient of Advance Child Tax Credit Payments & 3rd EIP payment
Mortgage Interest Statement/Real Estate Taxes Paid / Any charitable contributions
For direct deposit of refund bring banking information (account/routing numbers) not deposit slip!!!
**For married filing joint, both spouses must be present for signatures! Unless other arrangements have been made. **
**No more than 5 W2G’s
**No Farm Returns
