Lake Ponca Duck Pond area added to National Register of Historic Places

The Lake Ponca Duck Pond has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The National Park Service notified City Manager Craig Stephenson Monday that the decision to add the historic park area to the National Register was made Dec. 8.

The area includes Lake Ponca Park and many of the structures that were built in the mid-1930s as projects for the WPA and CCC.
