Kay County Sheriff’s Office Working With State of Oklahoma’s M.E.’s Office, Ponca City Police Dept. and the BIA on Case Involving a Deceased Person

The Kay County Sheriff’s Office is currently working with the State of Oklahoma’s M.E.’s Office, Ponca City Police Dept. and the BIA on a case involving a deceased person discovered in the county on Aug 01, 2024.
The Ponca City Police Dept has an open missing persons report and we are all working together to see if there is a connection. In attempt to squash any unconfirmed reports that may be surfacing on social media, there has not been any confirmed positive identification on the deceased by any law enforcement agency, local or state.
All agencies are waiting to have confirmation from the State before ANY confirmation will be done.
Therefore, this is still an open and ongoing investigation. We are diligently working together to bring this case to a close. We will keep updating as we can.
