Kay County Health Department named ‘Friend of Education’

The Kay County Health Department was awarded the “Friend of Education” award by Ponca City Public Schools.

Ponca City Public Schools said on the award that Kay County Health Department staff including Coordinating Nurse, Amy Wehunt have provided the district with resources for mitigation efforts, communication protocols for quarantined students and staff, and are always available for questions or concerns.

The award notes the great value of partnership and guidance through the unchartered territory of COVID-19.

The partnership developed between the Kay County Health Department and Ponca City Public Schools provides a benefit to the students served and the community at large.
