Kay County Deputies Jason Bell and Chris Hand made an arrest while serving a warrant on April 6 in the 300 block of South Ninth Street in Ponca City.

About 10:45 a.m. April 6, they executed a Kay County felony warrant to Cache Thomas McCallick at 306 South Ninth Street.

During the execution of the warrant, the deputies smelled the overwhelming odor of burned marijuana coming from the residence. Also, there was drug paraphernalia in plain view.

McCallick was arrested on a felony warrant for first-degree burglary and a misdemeanor domestic abuse warrant for assault and battery. Bail on those charges was set at $5,000 in Kay County District Court on April 7.

Bell then served a search warrant for the residence. The deputies located marijuana, methamphetamine and all the drug paraphernalia associated with drug activity to distribute.

The deputies collected all the evidence and arrested McCallick on a new complaint of possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute, along with a complaint of conspiracy.

McCallick was transported to the Kay County Detention Center, where he was booked and jailed.
