A Kansas woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 4:13 p.m. Monday just south of the Kansas-Oklahoma line on Interstate 35.

Donna Stephens, 68, of Peck, Kan., was northbound at mile marker 235 in Kay County.

She was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe and left the roadway to the right. The vehicle overturned three and a half times, coming to rest on its top. Stephens was pinned for about a half hour before being freed by Blackwell and Braman EMS.

Stephens was transported to Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kan., by EagleMed, where she was admitted in stable condition with head injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported she was using her seat belt. Airbags did not deploy.
