Juengel, Telis lead the way for New Orleans

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Matt Juengel was a home run short of the cycle, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple as the New Orleans Zephyrs beat the Oklahoma City Dodgers 9-3 on Monday.

Tomas Telis singled four times with a run and an RBI for New Orleans.

New Orleans took the lead in the first when it crossed the plate for four runs, including a two-run single by Juengel.

The Zephyrs later added three runs in the second and two in the fourth. In the second, Xavier Scruggs hit a three-run home run, while Telis hit an RBI single and then scored on a double by Cole Figueroa in the fourth.

New Orleans left-hander Chris Narveson (4-3) picked up the win after allowing two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings. Opposing starter Jose De Leon (3-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after allowing seven runs and eight hits over 1 1/3 innings.

For the Dodgers, Drew Maggi reached base three times.
