Jenna Stockton Named Academic All-Stater

Ponca City High School-

Jenna Stockton, senior at Ponca City High School, has been named a 2022 Oklahoma Academic All-Stater. Jenna joins 99 other top public high school seniors, selected from 397 nominations statewide. These students hail from 75 schools in 67 Oklahoma school districts.

Jenna serves as president of the Po-Hi Math Club and has led a team of AP Math students in a peer tutoring project providing math help to eighth grade students. She is also responsible for expanding this project to include freshman students at Po-Hi. She also serves as one of the drum majors of the Big Blue Band, serves as bassoonist in the Po-Hi Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Po-Hi Mock Trial Team.

The 2022 Academic All-State class is the 36^th to be selected by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. Since the award program’s inception in 1987, some 3,600 high school seniors from 333 school districts have been named Academic All-State scholars.

This year’s All-Staters scored an average of 33 on the ACT, with six recipients scoring a perfect 36. Each All-Stater will receive a $1,000 merit-based scholarship and a medallion. The All-Staters will be recognized at the foundation’s 36^th annual Academic Awards Celebration on Saturday May 21 at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.
