RATTAN, Okla. (AP) — State investigators are looking into the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were discovered inside a home near the town of Rattan in southeast Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Monday.

The agency was brought in at the request of the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office, the OSBI said in a statement.

The sheriff’s office received a call Sunday that a man and woman were found dead inside a residence east of Rattan.

The victims were later identified as 41-year-old Lee Cole II and 35-year-old Ashley Cole.

The medical examiner’s office has not yet released the cause and manner of death, and the OSBI said the investigation is ongoing.
