Holiday happenings this weekend

Several locations plan a weekend of holiday festivities during Ponca City’s Holiday Happenings.

In conjunction with the Pioneer Woman Museum and the Ponca City Art Center, Marland’s Grand Home and the Marland Mansion will be part of the celebration.

An open house will be held at Marland’s Grand home from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Mary Virginia Marland and Santa will be there to entertain. Join them for Christmas carols, hot chocolate, cookies and a Christmas ornament craft. The Grand Home is at 1000 East Grand Ave.

Tours of the Marland Mansion will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Guided tours are at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Saturday and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. See the mansion at 901 Monument Road.

Enjoy hot cider, holiday music and free gift wrap at the Pioneer Woman Museum’s annual open house. Check out the gift selection for everyone on your shopping list and support the local economy ! Museum admission is free during the event. The museum is at 701 Monument Road.

The Ponca City Art Center will host The Art of Christmas from 1 to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The Art Center will be filled with decorated trees, a children’s craft corner and fun for the whole family. Homemade treats will be available at the come-and-go event. The Art Center is at 819 East Central Ave.
