Hield helps No. 3 Oklahoma rout Washington State 88-60

HONOLULU (AP) – Buddy Hield scored 25 points as No. 3 Oklahoma cruised to an 88-60 win over Washington State in a quarterfinal-round game of the Diamond Head Classic Tuesday night.

Hield made 8 of 13 shots from the field, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range, and was a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in just 26 minutes played. He had 15 points by halftime.

Isaiah Cousins had 13 points, Dante Buford added 11 and Jordan Woodard 10 for the Sooners (9-0), who led by as many as 30 points late in the contest.

Oklahoma shot 56.7 percent (17 of 30) from the field in the second half and 50 percent (31 of 62) for the game.

Ike Iroegbu and Josh Hawkinson scored 16 points apiece for Washington State.

Oklahoma held a 38-31 lead at halftime.
