Hartford Avenue Closed Beginning November 29th

Sober Brothers, Inc. has entered a contract with the City of Ponca City to construct a new 10-inch water line along Hartford Avenue from Fifth Street to Seventh Street to replace an existing deteriorated water main. The project will include the removal and replacement of existing pavement along the south half of Hartford Avenue.

The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 29, 2021. The total construction time for the project is estimated to be 60 calendar days. During the project, the eastbound lanes (south half) of Hartford Avenue from Fifth Street to Seventh Street will be closed to all traffic. Vehicles will not be permitted in the work area. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north to Bradley Avenue, then east to Fourteenth Street and then south back to Hartford Avenue. The westbound lanes (north half) of Hartford Avenue will remain open to traffic throughout the duration of the project. Signage and barricades will be in place informing motorists of the construction.
