Grand Home brings back Ice Cream Social

Right down the street from the Arts Festival you’ll find Mary Virginia’s Ice Cream Social. The Grand Home is bring this event back in conjunction with the Arts Festival. Jackie Hunsucker, Friends of the Grand Home President said there will be more than just ice cream too.

“We will have games on the lawn for the children,” Hunsucker said. “We’ll have the bouncy balls, the big balls that the kids can get in and roll around in. We’ll have a 101 ranch exhibit, we’ll also have horseshoes and chalk art on the terrace. So,those are some of the things we’ll have this weekend.”

The only cost is the ice cream for $1.50 and the bouncy balls, which are $5 for 5 minutes. On top of all that, impersonators will be there too.

” Mary Virginia will be there and Lydie will be there,” Hunsucker said. “Joe Miller will be there, and his Mother Molly Miller will be there. We will also have E.W. there.”

This is all happening Saturday from 1 to 3 at the Marland Grand Home.
