Gov. Stitt Signs Transgender Bathroom Ban Into Law

OKLAHOMA CITY –

Governor Kevin Stitt has signed SB 615 into law.

The bill requires students to use the restroom that aligns with their biological sex assigned at birth.

The State School Board will oversee investigating complaints from parents who think students are not following the bathroom policy. If a school isn’t found in compliance, they would lose 5% of their state funding.

The law goes into effect immediately.
