Gas prices remain under $2 a gallon in Oklahoma, Arkansas
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – AAA Oklahoma says Arkansas and Oklahoma are among 12 states where average gas prices are under $2 a gallon.
The average gas price in Arkansas was $1.94 Monday while Oklahoma's average price was $1.99. The national average price for regular unleaded gas was $2.12 per gallon, which AAA says is the lowest price for the date since 2004.
AAA says Oklahoma's average on Monday was less than a cent below the price five weeks ago, although some markets, such as Oklahoma City and Tulsa, have price averages a dime to 12 cents above where they stood two weeks ago.
About 41 percent of gas stations nationwide are selling gasoline for $2 per gallon or less, a slight decrease from the 43 percent of gas stations that was recorded last week.
