Free oral history workshop today

Ponca City Now - April 17, 2015 9:33 am

The Pioneer Woman Museum is offering a free workshop at 10 a.m. today on collecting oral histories.

Family stories, legends and truths are often handed down from one person to another via word of mouth. How can you record these for future generations? What are good questions to ask to get family members to talk about the good times and the bad?

This workshop is for anyone interested in learning tools, tips and techniques for collecting oral histories. The program is free. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Contact the museum with any questions. [email protected] or call 580-765-6108.
