The BisonBison Film Festival will present “Movie on the Green” along with the Oklahoma Humanities Council and the Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council.

This free event will be Thursday, Oct. 5 starting at 6:30 p.m. The free movie “Moana” will be shown at the Ponca City Development Authority’s City Center at Fifth Street and Central Avenue, in the garden area on the north side of the building.

Dr. Karl Rambo, University of Oklahoma, will deliver a family friendly presentation on Polynesian culture, focusing on ancient navigation techniques and mythology, before the movie. Each child will receive a free Polynesian temporary tattoo on a first come, first served basis, until supplies are gone, along with an explanation card.

The BisonBison Film Festival is a nonprofit organization with a mission to recognize and showcase the work of student filmmakers enrolled in academic programs in the mid-America region.

BBFF also recognizes the need to provide events which educate the general public and younger students in the art of film and filmmaking, which is the basis of the “Movie on the Green” program.

The BisonBison Film Festival is scheduled for March 30-31, 2018. For more information, go to www.bisonbisonfilmfestival.org or BisonBison Film Festival on Facebook.
