Wednesday, Dec. 7, marks three years since fast-casual restaurant Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers arrived in Ponca City. The restaurant will celebrate its anniversary by giving free Freddy’s for one year to one lucky local fan.

“Starting Wednesday, Dec. 7, guests of our Ponca City restaurant can enter to win a grand prize of one free steakburger combo meal per month in 2017,” said Bob Rasberry, franchise owner. “We’ll announce the winner at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at our birthday celebration.”

All day on Saturday, Dec. 10, the restaurant will sell 10-cent single scoops of its signature chocolate or vanilla frozen custard in either a traditional cake cone or dish. The restaurant will also offer complimentary custard cake and free activities. TEAM Radio plans to broadcast live onsite from 2  to 4 p.m.

“This is our way of saying ‘thanks’ to the Ponca City community for their support over the past few years,” said Rasberry. “The community has been great to us, and we try to give back where we can. Mainly, that’s through profit-share nights at our restaurant; we call them Freddy’s Fundraisers. Since the program’s inception in 2014, we’ve been able to donate a total of $17,151 to various Ponca City schools and nonprofit organizations.”
