Filing For County Commission District #3 Special Election Begins Next Week

Candidates interested in filing for County Commissioner District #3 will file Declaration of Candidacy starting Monday, February 6 at 8:00 am and end on Wednesday February 8 at 5:00 pm.

A Special Election has been called by Governor Kevin Stitt to fill the vacancy of County Commissioner District #3. The Special Primary Election is April 4, 2023 and The Special General Election on June 13, 2024 if needed.

Those interested in becoming a candidate for the office may obtain an official filing packet at the Kay County Election Board or download a packet from the State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/elections.

The Kay County Election Board is located at 219 S. Main St. Newkirk, OK in the Kay County Administration Building. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information contact the County Election Board at 580 362 2130 or [email protected]
