Fifth Graders to Visit Ice Skating Rink

Ponca City Now - November 17, 2023 6:28 am

The district has arranged for all fifth-grade students to attend an ice skating session during the month of December with Ponca City Main Street. Due to weather in Oklahoma, this will be a unique experience for many of our students.

In order for your child to attend, parents must complete an electronic waiver. If the waiver is not completed students will be provided with alternative activities to complete at the school site while the rest of the fifth-grade class are transported to the rink for an hour of skating.

A schedule is posted in the photo as a reference for parents. Please make sure your child dresses according to the weather forecast on the date their school is assigned to attend. A completed waiver provides permission for the skating and to transport the child to and from the event on a Ponca City Public School bus.

To complete the waiver, click on the link https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5erbparb2xkv31ronm35yl/web/.

The waiver can be completed for individuals or families. To complete the waiver for your child, parents will select – Minor(s) and then click on how many of your children will attend.

Waivers can only be completed online. Principals will email Ponca City Main Street a list of students from each class and the waivers will be checked for completion before students load the bus for the field trip.

Please have the waivers completed by Dec. 1.

Please contact your school site principal or child’s homeroom teacher if you have questions.
