Fatal accident near Bartlesville

A woman died in a car accident near Bartlesville last night.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Sherry Hockett, 44 was in a car with husband, Rusty Hockett which landed in a creek after colliding with another car.

The Hockett’s were heading west on County Road in Washington County, they were on a curve in the road and were left of center.

When the cars collided Sherry over corrected and ran off the left side of the road into the creek.

Sherry was trapped in the car for 13 minutes and was pronounced dead on the scene from possible drowning.

Rusty refused treatment at the scene.

The cause of collision is still under investigation.
