Ponca City Now - September 17, 2013 7:39 am

The fair couldn’t have gone better.

The weather was perfect and it was one of the largest turnouts in recent history.

Jim Menzer, fair director says they had 62 vendors, but not all food vendors.

“Talking to some of the vendors, I know at least two of the long term vendors said Friday and Saturday night where there biggest nights in 30 years," Menzer said. "Overall vendors seemed pretty please, a lot of them were already asking if they could pay to come back next year.”

Menzer says another improvement this year was there seemed to be no security issues

The treasurer is currently doing some number crunching before official numbers come out.
