Explosive Device Found at Osage Casino Thursday

On Thursday July 13, 2023 at approximately 8:15 am the Osage Nation Police Department was contacted in reference to a possible bomb threat at one of the casino locations. Chief Williams, several ONPD officers, and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office responded.
Upon arrival all precautionary measures were conducted to ensure the safety of the casino personnel and guests of the casino hotel and gaming floor. ONPD and the Osage County Sheriff’s deputies located a suspicious device, later confirmed to be an explosive device.
The device was retrieved and handed over to the Oklahoma State Troopers Bomb Squad division, where it will be destructed properly.
