A new art exhibit is now on display at the Ponca City Art Center that features the work of local art educators.

The exhibit will be on display through Nov. 25, with the opening reception celebrating and honoring the local teachers from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12.

Featured art educators include Ken Crowder, photography Instructor; Audrey Schmitz, NOC ceramic instructor; April Holder, Ponca City Art Center children and adult ceramic instructor; Mindy LittleCook, Ponca City Public Schools Middle School art instructor; Chris LittleCook, Ponca City Public Schools Title VII director and Dana Love, Ponca City Public Schools elementary art instructor.

The exhibit includes work from a variety of media including photography, ceramics, mixed media and printmaking.

Over the past six months, the Ponca City Art Center has revamped exhibit openings in an effort to attract a wider audience. Exhibit receptions all feature unique foods made from fresh ingredients.

All food is prepared by local Chef Traci Wyatt, of Sodexo. Wyatt is a certified Sous Chef and is also certified in holistic nutrition. Wyatt has more than 39 years of experience in food preparation.

Exhibit receptions are free and open to the public.
