Ex-Oklahoma probation officer charged with assaulting women

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – A former Oklahoma probation officer is scheduled for arraignment on charges he stalked and sexually battered women who were under his supervision.
The Tulsa World reports 34-year-old Michael Powers of Broken Arrow is scheduled to appear in court Thursday to answer to charges that include forcible sodomy and three counts of sexual battery.
Powers, who was arrested Thursday, is accused of stalking and groping multiple women as well as sending unsolicited images of his penis.
Powers had oversight of the women in his capacity as a probation and parole officer for the state Department of Corrections from 2015 to 2017.
He later became an officer with Bartlesville police but was terminated when the department learned of the accusations against him.
A working phone number for Powers could not be found.
