Join us for a fun, family-friendly event celebrating literacy, learning, and healthy communities! The Literacy Fun Walk is designed to encourage reading and support literacy efforts across Kay County while bringing families together for an engaging outdoor experience.

This special event also includes a Born Learning Trail ribbon cutting, an interactive pathway that turns everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities for young children and their families.

🌿 About the Born Learning Trail
The Born Learning Trail is a paved, interactive path featuring signs in English and Spanish with fun, active learning activities. Guided by the theme Watch! Stop! Learn! Play! the trail encourages parents and caregivers to follow a child’s lead, building curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
The trail supports language, literacy, and social skills development and encompasses all five domains of early childhood learning:
-Physical
-Cognitive
-Communication
-Socioemotional
-Adaptive
Research shows a child’s first five years of brain development are critical, and high-quality early childhood experiences can help children thrive — the Born Learning Trail helps make that possible in everyday settings.
