Evans, Olivier lead Oklahoma State past Auburn 74-63

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) – Jawun Evans had 21 points and Chris Olivier added 16 to lead Oklahoma State past Auburn 74-63 in the final game of the Big 12/SEC Challenge Saturday night.

The Cowboys (11-10, 2-6) never trailed in the game. They opened up an early lead behind a flurry of 3-pointers and led by as many as 14 in the first half before Auburn (9-11, 3-5) pulled within three.

Evans poured in 16 points in the second half the help Oklahoma State build its lead back to 14. The Tigers clawed back within five before the Cowboys pulled away late.

Leyton Hammonds had 10 points, and the Cowboys were able to right the ship following a heartbreaking loss to No. 17 Baylor on Wednesday.

Kareem Canty scored 21 points for the Tigers, whose losing streak now sits at three games.
