Enrollment for the Ponca City Virtual Academy Begins Monday, November 27

Ponca City Now - November 21, 2023 6:15 am

The Ponca City Public Schools is preparing for the spring semester enrollment for the Ponca City Virtual Academy. Families may begin completing applications starting Nov. 27th.

The application and handbook can be found on the PCPS website, https://www.pcps.us. A QR code has been created for the application that will make the process more convenient for families. The QR code can be found on the website and at the Registration Center located at 111 West Grand Ave. If possible please complete the application using the QR code.

Space for students in the PCVA is limited due to staffing. Once classes fill, students will be placed on a waiting list according to the time stamp on the application. All students considered for enrollment in the PCVA for the spring semester will be required to participate in an interview to be admitted to the program. After applications are received interviews will be scheduled by phone. Please ensure phone numbers on the student application and PowerSchool are current and in working order.

If students were unsuccessful in PCVA in prior years due to absences or poor work habits the application will not be considered. Also, if a student was dismissed from the PCVA in the past due to failing probation the application will not be considered.

In order to participate in PCVA families will need to have access to internet.

Since students will be earning credits and completing coursework based on a semester pacing guide the final deadline for spring semester applications is Jan. 26, 2024.
