EMS Teacher Receives DonorsChoose Grant

Ferran Weese, a teacher at East Middle School, received a DonorsChoose grant from the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

“In science, our students learn communication skills through the complete process of designing and conducting experiments,” said Weese. “Throughout this process, students work together in small groups, communicating daily. They use both technology and physical modalities to support their learning process.”

Weese said with supplies received through this grant, students will be able to create posters and share their experimental results with the rest of the student body by hanging their final posters in the EMS hallways.
