The Heather Cannon Wildcat of the Week for week No. 4 is Po-Hi Junior Emma Burch.

“Emma is the total package when it comes to exhibiting the characteristics of the Wildcat Way! She is a natural leader and that trait is demonstrated in everything she does,” Superintendent Shelley Arrott said.

“Emma is the junior class president, a junior class representative in Student Council, and is a member of the Youth Traffic Court,” Arrott said. “She is a take-charge kind of girl and motivates and encourages her fellow Wildcats to rise to greatness. Emma is a proud Ponca City Wildcat and cheers on and supports every Wildcat no matter the outcome of the competition, event, or activity!

“If anyone has spent any time around Emma, it is obvious she has a kind and compassionate spirit, and she lights up any room with her smile and positive attitude. She is a well-versed conversationalist and a fabulous role model for everyone to emulate,” Arrott said.

In addition to supporting all Wildcats, she can often be seen encouraging a friend, helping others with homework, or volunteering in our community. She does all of these things while maintaining a 3.93 GPA and participating in concurrent enrollment.

“Thank you, Emma, for encouraging others to live the Wildcat Way with integrity and pride. Your enthusiasm is definitely contagious!”

The Wildcat of the Week receives a Wildcat of the Week T-shirt, a Wildcat window sticker, and a coupon for a delicious burger basket from Ground Round. The award is sponsored by TEAM Radio, Heather Cannon Honda, Tyndall Family Dentistry, Ground Round, and Legacy Signs.

The award is open to ANY Ponca City High School student. TEAM Radio makes the final selections and coordinates with school officials for presentations. Please use this link to nominate a high school student for Wildcat of the Week: https://www.poncacitynow.com/32875-2/
