Election set for Ponca City School Board seat

Voters in the Ponca City Public School District No. I-71 will vote Feb. 14, 2017, to fill the Ward 2 seat on the Board of Education.

The position is now held by Marvin Clark.

If necessary, a runoff election will be held April 4.

The filing period for the position is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 5 through Dec. 7 at the Kay County Election Board in the County Courthouse in Newkirk.

Voting will be at the regular voting places within the school district boundaries.

The term of office for this seat will run from 2017 to 2022.
