Downtown Ponca City is Celebrating the Holiday Season This December

Lots of fun events to celebrate the holiday’s are coming to downtown Ponca City.

– December 2 – Lighted Christmas Parade hosted by Parks & Rec at 6:00 pm
– December 2 & 3 – Holiday Open House at downtown stores
– December 20 – Ponca City Chambers Santa Buck Giveaway at 5th and Grand beginning at 7:00 pm-(listen for winning numbers on local radio stations)

Ice on the Plaza – 325 East Grand – special events:

December 3 · Santa Claus from 1:00 to 5:00 pm – Sponsored by Farm House Kids Co. 

December 20 · Kids Skate Free from 3:00 to 6:00 pm – Sponsored by Cast Iron Co. & Farm House Kids Co.

December 22 · Reindeer Club / Two live reindeer with educational, feeding, and photo opportunities from 5:00 to 7:00 pm –  Sponsored by Continental Carbon

December 31 · Last skate day of the season

The ice skating rink “Ice on The Plaza” at 4th and Grand in Veteran’s Plaza will continue to be open through December 31, weather permitting. For information about the rink and events visit

December 2 Free showing of “Polar Express” at 7:30 pm (after the parade) – sponsored by Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council

December 3 William Lee Martin’s “The Return of the Nutcracker: A Christmas Standup Spectacular” at 7:30 pm at the Poncan Theater. It’s a funny live Christmas show featuring comedians William Lee Martin, MJ Moody, Barry Laminack & singer/songwriter JD Monson. Tickets at or

December 10 “White Christmas” at 7:00 pm. $5.00 admission – sponsored by the Gift Shoppe and Emporium

December 16 thru 18 The Evan’s Children’s Academy of Performing Arts presents “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at the Poncan Theater. Performance times are at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:30 pm on Sunday. The musical features tap dancing Santa’s, Christmas parodies and classic Christmas favorites.

-December 20 – Free showing of “The Rise of The Guardians” at 2:00 and 7:00 pm- Under 18 must sign-up for the Free Movie Club.

-December 27 – Free showing of “Elf” at 2:00 and 7:00 pm – Under 18 must sign-up for the Free Movie Club
