“Coffee With a Cop” set for Oct. 4

The Ponca City Police Department will be participating in National Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday at two locations.

The Perk Beverage Company at 415 North Fourteenth Street and Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse at 702 South Third Street will be hosting simultaneously from 7 to 9 a.m. Oct. 4.

National Coffee with a Cop day began in 2011 in California as a way for police officers and the community members they serve to get together talk about things. Ponca City has participated in this event for the last three years.

“The Coffee with a Cop program has proven to be a great way for our officers to meet the public in a non-stressful situation, and answer any questions our citizens may have. We encourage any citizen to come by and visit with the officers, even if you don’t have a question,” said Ponca City Police Chief Don Bohon.
