City election set for Feb. 14

The Ponca City Board of Commissioners has approved a resolution calling for an election for city commissioners in Positions 1 and 3, currently held by Commissioners MaryBeth Moore and Lanita Chapman.

The election will be held on Feb. 14. If needed, a runoff election will be held April 4 for the two candidates for each position with the greatest number of votes.

Declarations of candidacy must be filed between Dec. 5 and Dec. 7 at the Kay County Election Board.
