Chamber reception honors school support staff

Ponca City Now - May 6, 2015 12:55 pm

The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce held a reception last week to honor all education support professionals from Ponca City Public Schools.

The reception was sponsored by the Chamber Education Committee. The come and go reception accommodated the schedules of all employees. Many door prizes were donated by local businesses to be given to lucky winners.

More than 100 people attended and enjoyed the cookies and punch provided by the Chamber.

“ We want to thank the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce for hosting this reception to honor our support employees,” Ponca City Superintendent Dr. David Pennington said.

“ Schools have a tremendous job, and every employee is important to the success of students. Our 400+ support employees provide invaluable services that enable our teachers to teach and our students to learn in positive, supportive environments.”
