If you are a Chamber member, it is not too late to sign up for the Chamber’s Lunch and Learn on the new federal overtime law.
Businesses will have to start the new regulations Dec. 1. Cost is $10 and includes lunch. It will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pioneer Technology Center in the Seminar Room. You do have to RSVP by phoning 765-4400 and you do have to be a Chamber member to attend. Don’t miss this important Chamber Lunch and Learn.
Our 31st Ponca City Leadership Class will have a session on industry in Ponca City this Wednesday.
Laurence Beliel with the Ponca City Development Authority is the Day Chair. This is always a very enlightening day for our leadership class on what is actually manufactured here in Ponca City and how diverse our industries are in Ponca City. We are fifth in Oklahoma in number of manufacturing jobs behind Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Lawton.
The Education and Workforce Development Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday at Po-Hi. Diane Anderson with Phillips 66 is the chair. This is a very active Chamber Committee.
