As we go in to the summer months we know that visitors to Ponca City will increase as people take time off from work to relax and have fun. Ponca City truly is a tourist destination spot in Oklahoma!

Our state tourism department promotes our western heritage, our oil history and our abundant outdoor recreation. Ponca City offers everything our great state promotes people to come and see in Oklahoma.

What is also unique about Ponca City is we have things you can only see in Ponca City! For example the Matzene Art Collection at the Library, the movie lobby art at the Poncan Theatre, the 101 Ranch collections at Marland’s Grand Home and the story of Chief Standing Bear and the incredible statue.

Not only do we have an incredible mansion with the Marland Estate but we also on the grounds of the mansion have three museums, the Bryant Baker Studio, Marland Oil Museum and the Ponca Military Academy Museum. At our Pioneer Woman Museum the current display is on Patti Page. The Pioneer Woman Statue captures the pioneer spirit of the west. Then you add the Conoco Museum, Wentz Swimming Pool and Camp, Downtown Ponca City, our beautiful Murals, shopping, dining and the L.A. Cann Estate. We have a lot to see and do.

I don’t have room in this Chamber Chat to mention everything but also our events and outdoor recreation are incredible.

Ponca City is Oklahoma tourism and it is a major industry for our community that continues to thrive!
