Candidates file for Kay County positions

The Kay County Election Board reports the following candidates have filed for positions in the Feb. 14, 2017, election.

Blackwell Public Schools Ward 2, a five-year term: Kathleen Brown and Barbara Ihrig.

City of Ponca City,  Commissioner Seat 3, a three-year term: Shasta Scott and Daniel L. Sherron.

Seat 1, a three-year term: Lanita Chapman, the incumbent, unopposed.

Newkirk Public Schools, Office 2,  a five-year term: Bill Hobbs and Phillip Knight.

Kildare Public Schools, Seat 2, a three-year term: Rebekah Wimer and incumbent Michael S. Smith.

Peckham Schools, Office 3, a three-year term: incumbent Barclay Locke, unopposed.

Pioneer Technology Center, Seat 5, a five-year term: incumbent Larry E. Buck, unopposed.

Ponca City Public Schools, Office 2, a five-year term: Nancy Zimmerschied, unopposed.

Tonkawa Public Schools, Office 2,  a three-year term: Cara Beth Johnson, unopposed.

Office 5, incumbent Casey McAninch, unopposed.
