A fatal accident occurred Wednesday morning on the east edge of Enid, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The accident occured at 6:10 a.m., on U.S. Highway 412 just east of 78th on the east edge of Enid.

The patrol said Manuel Soto, 63, of Victorville, Calif., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner and taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City. There were no passengers in his 2011 Ford Edge.

The patrol said Soto's vehicle collided with a 1995 Kenworth semi, driven by Kervin Keel, 50, of Del City. Keel was not injured.
