Two children were struck by vehicles in two separate incidents, according to Broken Arrow Police.

Officers said in each of the incidents, the kids were sledding when they entered the roadway and the collision occurred.

A 12-year-old was sledding when he entered the road and was struck by a truck traveling west on Albany Street. The truck did not stop, police said.

Officers are working to identify the truck and its driver.

Less than an hour later, officers responded to a vehicle that struck another child.

Officers found that another 12-year-old had been sledding when he entered the street and was struck by a passing vehicle.

The child was dragged for an unknown distance before the vehicle was able to stop, according to officers.

The child was later transported by private vehicle to an area hospital with apparent minor injuries.
