Blackwell homicide investigation continuing; OSBI leading efforts

The Kay County District Attorney’s office requested assistance from the Oklahoma State
Bureau of investigation Monday evening in an investigation involving a death at the Best Way Inn, located at 4302 West Doolin in Blackwell.

A man, later idenfied as Deepkuner Vhakta, 25, was found deceased in the parking lot. Vkatka was the property manager at the Best Way Inn.

Investigative efforts are ongoing. Officials are working this investigation as a homicide.
