Blackwell General Election filing period set

Candidates for municipal office in Blackwell file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2020.
Chery Howard, Secretary of the Kay County Election Board, said filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 9th.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office for the following Board of Commissioner’s offices in Blackwell.
Councilor at Large (Mayor) Unexpired – 3 year term
Councilor Ward #3 3 year term
Councilor Ward #4 3 year term
A general election for the City of Blackwell, Oklahoma, will be held on April 6, 2021, for the two positions and a Primary election if necessary, will be held on February 9, 2021.
