Bixby Bands and the Pride of Owasso  represented Oklahoma Friday at Dublin, Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The parade began at 7 a.m. Central and Bixby was the first marching band to reach the crowd of onlookers.

The Pride of Owasso was the third marching band in the parade. Owasso had previously marched in 2014 and 1979.

Will McCoy, a member of the band, was keeping up family traditions, as his older brother and his mother both marched in the parade in 2014 and 1979.

An Oklahoma family attending to watch their son perform in the parade spoke with an announcer at the parade and said, “I’m excited, it’s wonderful, I love the vibe, it’s amazing to be here!”
