Bartlesville Women in Critical Condition After Jumping From Moving Vehicle on Kay County Hwy. 11

Kaw City-

A personal injury accident occurred around 8:45 pm on Wednesday, December 29th, in Kay County. A 2012 Kia Sorento, driven by Lane Douglas Kitchel, 22, of Bartlesville was westbound on SH-11, .1 mile east of Acker Hill Road near Kaw City, when his passenger, 22 year old Sara Nicole Marsh, jumped from the moving vehicle and was struck by a westbound Nissan Sentra driven by Tyler Scott Gorr, 18, of Shildler.

Marsh according to reports jumped from the vehicle after a verbal altercation with Kitchel and was then struck by the second vehicle in the westbound lane.

Marsh was transported by Air Evac to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas and admitted in critical condition with multiple injuries.

Gorr was not injured.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Sparks #810 of Troop K.  Assisted by Trooper Garrison #730 and Trooper Snyder #271 of Troop K.  Also assisted by Kay County Sheriff’s Department and Air Evac.
